Ukraine proposed to partners from NATO countries to create an aviation coalition that could become an analogue of a tank coalition.

This was announced by the spokesman of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ignat, on the air of the telethon.

"A symposium among the commanders of the Air Forces of NATO countries ended today. The commander of the Air Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleschuk, took part in it. He emphasized many things that are currently happening at the front... He made a proposal to create an aviation coalition under the slogan " Victory on earth is forged in heaven," Ignat said.

According to him, such a coalition could function according to the example of the tank coalition. The spokesman noted that the partners will probably respond to Ukraine's request in the near future.

"It is clear that not everything can be said. Because such things are not public. Therefore, I would like to see even better news in the near future," he added.

The Air Force reported that the commanders' meeting was held online. Lieutenant General Mykola Oleschuk called on partners to provide Ukraine with modern fighter jets.

"At the same time, I appeal to you to increase efforts to provide the Air Force of Ukraine with modern multi-purpose fighters of the fourth generation, which are capable of effectively protecting our state from Russian air terrorist attacks, as well as providing powerful air support to ground forces, for the liberation and deoccupation of Ukrainian territory," he said.

It will be recalled that the Polish government announced that Ukraine can receive MiG-29 fighters from several countries.

It is also known that Slovakia agreed with Poland on the transfer of MiG-29 to Ukraine. Bratislava said it was ready to provide 13 fighter jets.
