German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius arrived on a visit to Kyiv on Tuesday, February 7.
This was reported on Twitter by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov.
The "first" Leopard 2 arrived in Kyiv. There will be more of them. Thank you to my colleague Boris Pistorius and the German people. The tank coalition is on its way to victory!" Reznikov wrote.
It will be recalled that Germany decided to transfer Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine, and also gave the "green light" to other countries regarding the supply of modern machines to the Ukrainian military.
In addition, the German government should already today issue a permit to the defense concern Rheinmetall and the company Flensburger Fahrzeugbau Gesellschaft (FFG) to supply Ukraine with 187 Leopard 1 tanks.
