According to President Oleksandr Vučić, Serbia considers Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan a "true friend" despite their "different position on the independence of Kosovo".
Serbia has "very good" relations with Turkey, and "we will continue working together in all areas to make them even better," Vučić told Anadolu.
Vučić said he wants closer cooperation with Ankara at the "military-technical level", but there are some obstacles to this, particularly related to Kosovo.
Asked about obstacles in Serbia's relationship with Turkey, Vucic said: “Well, you can't say we're going to sell drones to both Serbia and Kosovo. This is unacceptable for us.
He emphasized that, in addition to Bayraktar drones, Serbia is also interested in purchasing a whole range of military equipment from Turkey.
