The Security Service of Ukraine reported that it is conducting security measures in the government quarter of Kyiv and in the surrounding areas.

 "The Security Service of Ukraine is carrying out counter-intelligence (security) measures on the territory of the Pechersk district of the capital, in particular within the government quarter and in the adjacent territories," the message reads.

 The measures take place in cooperation with the Security Service of Ukraine, the State Security Office of Ukraine, the National Police and the Military Law and Order Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

 "The goal is to check and strengthen the counter-sabotage protection of important state facilities, to increase the safety of persons subject to state protection. This is especially important in the context of Russia's armed aggression, which is trying to destabilize the situation in Ukraine in any way," the SSU explained. .

 According to reports, with the direct participation of representatives of the State Security Department:

 conduct an inspection of the territory and individual premises (premises, offices, common areas of multi-apartment residential buildings, public service institutions, etc.) to identify prohibited items;

 carry out checks on citizens who are in the territory of the government quarter, at the same time, regime measures will be strengthened in the Pechersk District.

 "Security measures will take place taking into account the legal regime of martial law. During their implementation, there may be restrictions on passage and passage through the streets of the capital, checking of citizens' documents, inspection of cars," the SSU said.

 Citizens were urged to understand possible inconveniences and respond appropriately to the legal actions and demands of law enforcement officers, to carry identification documents, and to observe the curfew.
