Italian brands sponsor the "Russian ball" in Rome

It seems that the Italian side risks being at the epicenter of the scandal. At a time when Ukraine is resisting a large-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, a "big Russian ball" is planned in the very center of Rome, which will be sponsored by famous Italian brands.

"Strengthening of cultures" during the Russian aggression

It is known that this ball will be held on January 14, 2023 in the aristocratic Palazzo Brancaccio in Rome in the heart of the Italian capital.

As indicated on the website of the company sponsoring the event (this is Eventi Roma), the event is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of the Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninoff.

Also important is the fact that this is an annual festive event held jointly with the Amici della Grande Russia Cultural Association and the UNESCO National Historical Dance Company.

So, as we can see, even the Russian aggression against Ukraine, which has been going on for 8 years, has not affected this in any way.

But the most interesting thing turned out to be that among the jury that will evaluate the productions, costumes and more will be the famous Italian shoe designer Jimmy Baldinini and designer - the "queen of bags" Eleonora Altamore.

As indicated on the organizer's website, this ball "is not a simple ball, but is also aimed at strengthening relations and cultural exchange between Russia and Italy."

"The event is traditionally held under the patronage of the Department of Culture of the Rome City Hall, the UNESCO National Historical Dance Company," the description also states.

 Italian brands will become sponsors

Well, the "icing on the cake" was the fact that this time, when there is already a full-scale war between Russia and Ukraine, the sponsor of the "Russian ball" will be the well-known Italian company Baldinini.

And also a whole list of Italian sponsors of the "Russian event", namely: Velluto beauty institute, Ca D'Abruzzo winery, Stefanoni salami and cheese production company, black caviar from Premium Caviale Italia, CHP Colonna Pevero Hotel in Sardinia and "artistic villas and apartments" Homart from the aforementioned designer Eleonora Altamore.

And, as a conclusion, I would like to add that while Ukrainians call on the entire civilized world, in particular, brands and various companies to refuse cooperation with Russia and leave its market, some even sponsor outside the country of the aggressor.

 Not "balom" the only one

We will remind you that very recently Ukrainians in Milan, Italy staged a protest against the La Scala Opera and Ballet Theater, which opened the theater season with the opera "Boris Godunov" by the Russian composer Modest Mussorgsky.

Then dozens of Ukrainians gathered near the theater to protest. They were also supported by Ukrainian diplomats in Milan, but the theater management was indifferent.

As the participants of the action explained, the pro-Putin singer Ildar Abdrazakov, who plays the role of Tsar Boris Godunov, did not condemn the Russian war against Ukraine, but on the contrary - continues to be part of the "special Russian cultural forces" that promote the imperial ideology.
