The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran called the accusations of the Ukrainian authorities about the transfer of drones to Russia groundless, and similar statements by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi as "indecent". This was reported by the official representative of the department Naser Kanani, the press service of the ministry reports.
This is how he commented on Zelenskyi's words during a speech in the US Congress that "Iranian killer drones are coming to Russia by the hundreds" and have become a threat to the critical infrastructure of Ukraine.
At the same time, the president called Iran an "accomplice in the genocidal policy" of the Russian Federation and called on the West to stop the actions of both states.
"The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Kanani, condemned the repeated accusations and obscene statements of the President of Ukraine in the US Congress regarding the Islamic Republic of Iran," the message states.
At the same time, Kanani emphasized that Iran has not exported any military equipment to any of the parties for use in the war in Ukraine.
"We have always respected the territorial integrity of countries, including Ukraine, and Mr. Zelenskyi should know that Iran's strategic tolerance for baseless accusations will not be limitless," the minister said.
He also advised Zelenskyi to "learn from the fate of the leaders of countries" who were satisfied with the support of the United States.
