Ukraine's victory in the war against Russia will be a victory for Europe as well. The Russian throne threatens all nations whose freedom is potentially under attack. This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy during a conversation with students and representatives of the teaching staff of Yale University.
"Look at what Iranian drones are targeting. Against what allows the people to live. Against power plants, boiler plants, transport, even houses. They want to destroy all Ukrainians, they hate all of Ukraine," Zelenskiy said.
According to the president, the strategic threat of Russian aggression is that in the event of victory over Ukraine, the Russian throne will begin to destroy the lives of other nations as well.
"It is important for the whole world that Russia loses now - in the war in Ukraine. When we win for ourselves, we will win for other peoples whose freedom is potentially under attack. The ambitions of the Russian throne are known," the president said.
Zelenskiy noted that it is in Ukraine today that it is being decided whether Europe will be free and democratic.
"Ultimately, this is how the global fate of democracy will be determined. This fate must be determined by you and I - the free world - and not by terrorists. I believe that it will be so," the president said.
