Russia's decision to use nuclear weapons does not depend on the situation at the front. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy stated this in an interview with the Italian publication Corriere della Sera.
"If Russia decides to use nuclear weapons, it will use them. If it has not decided to do it, and it depends on the pressure of the Western world, it does not apply it. No matter what happens on the battlefield. Sometimes we think we have success on the battlefield, after which Russia can use nuclear weapons. So why not fight for our land? The logic is that we should surrender then, because, God forbid, they will use nuclear weapons. We are not ready to live with such logic, to be honest," Zelenskiy said.
