For military equipment: the Netherlands will provide Ukraine with 500 million euros

The Netherlands will provide financial support to Ukraine for the sixth time. As reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands, an additional 500 million euros will be provided to support military equipment.

According to the agency, a training mission to train the Ukrainian military will begin under the flag of the European Union.

The EU military mission focuses on the training of the Ukrainian military in Poland and Germany, for example, in the field of demining or other specialized issues. This is done on the basis of the need indicated by Ukraine.

According to the country's defense minister, Kaisa Ollongren, the Netherlands is now planning options for how defense can contribute. It is considering incorporating the current Dutch-German demining exercise into this EU mission. "In this way, we facilitate the accession of other EU member states. We are also looking at other opportunities to offer trainers and training courses." It is also possible to contribute to the headquarters of the mission.

"Everything we do has a reason," Ollongren says. "The supply of weapons and ammunition pays off. As well as training the Ukrainian military so that they can optimally use and maintain their weapons. We see that Ukraine will benefit from all this in terms of progress in the military sphere."
