The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Lithuania proposed to terminate bilateral agreements with Belarus

At the meeting of the State Council on Defense, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Lithuania, Agne Bilotaite, presented a proposal on the termination of bilateral international treaties and interdepartmental agreements with Belarus concluded in the spheres of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

This is reported by the Delfi portal.

"The Belarusian regime does not stop using migrants as a tool of political pressure, and Belarusian officials, by their active actions, contribute to the organization of the crisis of illegal migrants and the destruction of the fence. Since Belarus violates the principles of international law and does not comply with bilateral agreements, they lose their meaning, and we propose to break them." . , - Bilotaite said in a statement.

According to her, given the fact that geopolitical threats in the region are not decreasing, and Belarus, as an ally of Russia, continues to carry out organized hybrid aggression against Lithuania on the border, bilateral international agreements with Belarus are already losing their meaning.
