The Russian authorities decided to recruit their subjects into the army right on the border with Georgia. A military mobilization committee will work at the border crossing.

 This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of North Ossetia.

 According to the report, a mobilization point of the Military Commissariat will be deployed at the Verkhniy Lars checkpoint on the border with Georgia in the near future.

 The police authorities clarified that crossing the border with Georgia on foot will be allowed at this border point.

 Earlier, the ruling party of Georgia stated that the flows of Russians arriving in Georgia "are under control" and "do not pose a danger."

 It was also reported that Russia is likely to close the border from September 28 due to mobilization problems.
