The occupiers are preparing "referendums" for September 23-27 in the Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions

The "administration" of the territory of the Kherson region, which is not controlled by Ukraine, decided to hold a "referendum" on its inclusion in the Russian Federation on September 23-27. This was stated by the head of the body, Volodymyr Saldo, in a video message published on his Telegram channel.

 

 "After considering the appeal of public organizations and residents of the region, the management of the administration of the Kherson region decided to hold a referendum on the entry of the Kherson region into the Russian Federation," Saldo noted.

 

 The "leader" also announced that based on the results of the "referendum" he would appeal to the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, with a request for their legal approval as soon as possible.

 

 "We took the course for reunification with Russia and we will not turn away from it. (...) I am sure this procedure will not last long," he said.

 

 According to Saldo, the leadership of the Russian Federation will approve the results of the referendum, and the inclusion of the territories of the region not controlled by Ukraine into the Russian Federation will secure them.

 

 He also stated the need to create volunteers in the region to participate in the war.

 

 "I am convinced that the Russian people and the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin will act as guarantors of the security and prosperity of our region," said Saldo.

 

 Also, the head of the temporarily occupied part of the Zaporizhzhya region, Yevhen Balytskyi, announced the holding of a "referendum" on the region's entry into the Russian Federation on September 23-27. He stated this in a video message published on his Telegram channel.

 

 He also noted that he signed a "decree" on the formation of "volunteer battalions".
