Investigation: Putin's ex-wife ran a LiveJournal and has apartments in Spain

Alexei Navalny's associates released a film about Vladimir Putin's ex-wife Lyudmila. The 44-minute video was published on the youtube of the opposition politician.

According to investigators, the former wife of the President of Russia owns two apartments in Spain worth more than two million euros. The authors of the investigation also discovered a blog in the Live Journal, which allegedly maintained Lyudmila Putina until 2008.

Navalny's associates say they found two apartments in Malaga for Lyudmila Putina and her husband, Artur Ocheretny, whom she married in 2015. Ocheretny bought the first one 10 years ago for 790,000 euros. At the time, he was head of the Center for the Development of Interpersonal Communications, which Putina supervised. In 2014, Ocheretny bought another apartment in Malaga for more than 1.3 million euros.

In addition, Putina and Ocheretny own a house in Biarritz, France, for 5.3 million euros. The house was bought in 2013, the Center for the Study of Corruption and Organized Crime (OCCRP) reported in 2017. Also this spring, Swiss journalists reported about Ocheretnykh's purchase of an apartment in Davos, Switzerland, for about 3.5 million euros in 2015.

Putina and Ocherennyi's income comes from renting space in a house in central Moscow, according to the investigation. The total rental income is more than 250 million rubles a year. This income of Putin's ex-wife was first reported by Reuters in 2017.

It is also alleged that the "Center for the Development of Interpersonal Communications" receives hundreds of millions of rubles from big business and the authorities.

Investigators also claim to have found Lyudmila Putina's blog on Live Journal. According to the authors of the publication, the president's wife wrote under the nickname llenaa. The fact that the account could belong to Putin is indicated by coincidences in the LiveJournal with facts from her biography, including minor details.

In many of the posts, the author of the blog wrote about boredom, and in the comments under the posts, she defended the Russian authorities and the president. One of the posts said that her husband "drinks her blood all the time. This was brought to the attention of the Agency.
