Pentagon announces Ramstein 4 meeting

The Pentagon announced the Ramstein 4 meeting. It will take place on July 20 in an online format.

 

U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd J. Austin III spoke with Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov to provide an update on U.S. assistance to Ukraine in support of their fight to protect their democracy.

 

According to the release, the ministers discussed the new $400 million aid package to Ukraine that was announced July 8.

 

 "Austin and Reznikov discussed the agenda for the next Ukraine Defense Contact Group, which will be held virtually on July 20, and exchanged views on future U.S. and Alliance assistance to Ukraine through that format," the Pentagon release said.

 

The leaders promised to maintain close contact.
