The first deputy chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Olexander Kornienko expects that by the end of 2022 parliament will adopt the laws that Ukraine needs to begin negotiations for accession to the EU, writes UNN.
"I think it will be all up to the new year, we plan to work closely on seven issues - the conditions of candidacy in the next couple of months, to solve everything by the new year from the Rada," - said Kornienko.
According to him, the Parliament has a minimum program - to analyze what exactly the Verkhovna Rada should do in accordance with the recommendations of the European Commission.
"The minimum program is to deal with the seven points of the European Commission's candidacy... to distinguish what must be done by the Rada... For example, there is a law on the media, the question of regulation of national minorities' interests, the issue of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, and FATF on money laundering, where there are many problems. We are now analyzing and accumulating all of this, and as soon as the timer is clear, we will immediately begin (the preparation, consideration and adoption of bills)," the first deputy speaker said.
