Lychakiv District Court in Lviv extended the arrest of MP Viktor Medvedchuk. It will last until August 9.
This is the decision of the court.
The decision was made on June 9.
The judge granted the request of the Prosecutor General's Office and extended the period of detention without bail for 60 days to the suspect Medvedchuk.
The deputy's defense appealed to the Supreme Court with a request to transfer this petition to the Kiev Pechersk District Court for consideration, but the panel of judges of the Court of Criminal Cassation refused to do so.
As is known, Medvedchuk is suspected of state treason, aiding the terrorist organizations "LDNR". Prior to the war with Russia, he was under house arrest, from which he escaped immediately after the start of hostilities.
