The Ukrainian Armed Forces struck the "Boyko towers" in the Black Sea with missiles

Ukrainian troops launched a missile attack on drilling platforms in the Black Sea. The so-called "Boyko rigs" were seized by Russia after the occupation of Crimea in 2014.

This was reported by MP Oleksiy Goncharenko in Telegram.

"The missile strike on the towers slightly interfered with the gas production in the Ukrainian Black Sea by the Russians," he said.

Also information about the missile strike was confirmed by the self-proclaimed "head" of Crimea Sergey Aksenov.

"This morning the enemy struck at the drilling platforms of Chernomorneftegaz. I am in touch with colleagues from the Ministry of Defense and the Federal Security Service, we are working to save people," he said.

According to him, five people were rescued, three of them were wounded. The search for the others is ongoing. Patrol boats and aviation were involved in the work.

It is worth recalling that in 2014, Russia seized the so-called "Boyko rigs" - drilling platforms 100 km from Odesa and 150 km from Crimea. In addition to gas production, the occupants also used them to monitor the surface situation with the help of radio reconnaissance.

We shall remind you that on June 17, the Ukrainian military hit the Russian tugboat Vasyl Behe with American Harpoon missiles.
