Today NATO will announce new military assistance to Ukraine. It will include heavy weapons and long-range artillery.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced this during a briefing.
"NATO defense ministers will announce in the evening the allocation of new military aid to Ukraine, including heavy weapons and long-range artillery," Stoltenberg said.
According to him, NATO is also preparing a plan for the complete conversion of the Ukrainian army from post-Soviet weapons to Alliance weapons.
We shall remind you that today will be the third meeting in the Ramstein format on military support to Ukraine. Representatives of defense agencies of more than 40 countries will gather at the meeting.
Earlier, the head of the Pentagon, Lloyd Austin, announced his readiness to transfer to Ukraine all the weapons that the Ukrainian Armed Forces need now.
The office of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has already addressed the Ramstein meeting participants, saying that they were "waiting for a decision".
