Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President, said that Ukrainian military losses now range from 100 to 200 people a day, according to Newshour BBC World Service.
According to him, one of the main reasons for the large number of losses is the lack of parity between the Ukrainian and Russian military capabilities.
Podolyak added that Ukraine needs hundreds of the most powerful artillery systems the West can provide.
Ukraine also needs up to 300 missile systems to get to achieve parity with Russia's firepower and liberate occupied territory.
"Until Russia suffers a serious military defeat, no form of dialogue will be possible, and they will continue to try to seize parts of our country," the OP head said.
