On May 9, Secretary General of the Council of Europe Maria Pejcinovic-Buric came to Irpen and Borodyanka.

She told about the visit accompanied by Deputy Foreign Minister Emine Japarova on Twitter.

"With Emine Japarova this morning were in Borodyanka and Irpen. I am amazed at the senseless destruction caused by Russian aggression, but I am also amazed at the resilience of the Ukrainian people. We in the Council of Europe support Ukraine," Pejcinovic-Buric said.

Japarova noted the universal responsibility to punish those responsible for the large-scale atrocities by Russian forces in the Kiev region and other Ukrainian cities.
