The Ukrainian government allocated 44 million hryvnias for the upkeep of Russian prisoners of war

The Cabinet of Ministers has allocated UAH 44.7 million from the reserve fund of the state budget for the maintenance of Russian prisoners of war. The corresponding decree No. 352-r. was signed on May 7, 2022.

 

"... to allocate 44,723.4 thousand hryvnia to the Ministry of Justice for the implementation of measures for the detention of prisoners of war in camps and sites for the detention of prisoners of war," the text of the document reads.

 

The Ministry of Justice is instructed to submit by 30 December 2022 to the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economy and the State Treasury Service a report on the use of funds allocated under this decree.
