About 180 thousand people may be left without heat and water because of the shelling of the CHP in Kremenchuk

As a result of the Russian shelling of the local CHP in the next heating season 180 thousand residents of Kremenchug may be left without heat and hot water, the head of the Poltava RSA Dmitry Lunin said.

"In two weeks the rubble of the CHP will be dismantled and final conclusions can be made, but it is tentatively clear that as a result of the destruction about 180 thousand residents may be left without heat and hot water for the next heating season," Lunin said on April 28 after a meeting in Kremenchug.

He added that the RSA plans to ask the Office of the President, the government and international partners to help solve the problem.

"We are also currently considering building two new boilers to diversify the heat supply so that the entire city does not depend on one CHP plant. The regional military administration will lend a shoulder to the residents of Kremenchug and will allocate funds from the regional budget for some of the work," the RSA chief added.
