In Kherson, Dmitry Afanasyev, a deputy of the Korabelnoe District Council, the head of the "European Solidarity" faction, was kidnapped. This was reported on his page on Facebook by Sergey Khalan.

On Tuesday, March 22, after the dispersal of the pro-Ukrainian rally, Dmitry defended his wife, whom they tried to detain. For this, he was severely beaten. At the hospital, the man was diagnosed with multiple bruises and broken ribs.

Two hours later, Russian soldiers arrived at the family's home to conduct a search.

"The occupiers found an ID card of a deputy of the district council, seized surveillance video and cell phones of the family members. All the men who were in the house were detained, Dmitry's friends were among them.

On the morning of March 23, the house was searched again and one of the detainees, who reported brutal torture, was released. The other detained men are still in captivity, they continue to be mocked", - wrote Halan.
