The Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe on Thursday decided to suspend relations with Belarus in connection with the situation in Ukraine.
"The Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe today decided to suspend all relations with Belarus because of the country's active involvement in Russian aggression against Ukraine," an official statement said.
At the same time, the committee decided to maintain and strengthen relations with Belarusian civil society and opposition outside the country.
