A meeting of the National Security and Defense Council is currently in progress.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will make a video address to the citizens of Ukraine amid the latest news.
Presidential press secretary Sergei Nikiforov said this on the eve of the urgent meeting of the National Security and Defense Council on Monday, February 21.
According to him, the Ukrainian president will address fellow citizens after a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), which continues because of Russia's recognition of the fake "LDNR".
It is known that on the eve of the meeting of the NSDC, the Ukrainian president spoke with American leader Joe Biden, and a conversation with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is also planned.
As a reminder, Vladimir Putin on February 21 announced the recognition of the "independence" of the so-called "DPR" and "LPR," and then in the presence of Denis Pushilin and Leonid Pasechnik signed a corresponding decree, as well as treaties on friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance between Russia and the LPR.
As previously reported, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky called an urgent meeting of the National Security and Defense Council this evening, February 21, amid the tense situation in Ukraine by the Russian Federation.
