Ukraine will cancel conscription for compulsory military service. The Cabinet of Ministers has been instructed to prepare and submit for consideration of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine a bill to this effect. This is stated in the presidential decree.

Zelensky decides the government to ensure the preparation and submit to Parliament a bill on "the introduction of a model of intensive military training as a possible alternative form of military service and the termination of conscription of citizens of Ukraine for compulsory military service from January 1, 2024".
