Former world heavyweight boxing champion and current Kiev mayor Vitali Klitschko said he would fight on the front lines to protect Ukraine from Russian invasion.

"Our eastern neighbor is not happy with our decision to become part of the European family. We don't want to go back to the USSR. We were in the USSR and we see our future as part of the European family. Mr. Putin disagrees with this. As a former officer, I spent a lot of time in the former army. As a former soldier, I am ready to defend my country and protect the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine. Would I fight? Yes, of course, on the front lines," Vitali Klitschko said in an interview with CNN.

Let's remind, that Vitali Klitschko is the world champion on boxing among professionals under version WBO (1999-2000), under version The Ring (2004-2005) and WBC (2004-2005, 2008-2013), European champion on boxing among professionals under version EBU.
