Zelensky convenes the National Security and Defense Council

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council. It will be held today, December 30.

 

The head of state instructed the secretary of the NSDC, Alexei Danilov, to convene the meeting after his report on December 24, reports RBC-Ukraine.

 

The meeting was first called for December 29, but it was postponed to December 30 the day before. As explained in the apparatus of the CNSD, it was decided to postpone the meeting because of the expansion of the agenda.

 

"Due to the fact that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has expanded the list of issues to be included in the agenda of the NSDC meeting, the meeting will be held on December 30, 2021," the NSDC office said.

 

According to an informed source of RBC-Ukraine, will consider:

 

security issues,

 

the situation in the energy sector,

 

the epidemiological situation in the country.

 

Another source said that the meeting was scheduled for 3 p.m. However, none of the interviewed sources involved in the preparation of the meeting were able to say whether the NSDC will impose new sanctions.

 

Last meeting of the NSDC was held on November 10th, 2021. It mainly concerned the situation with migrants on the border of Belarus with the EU countries.
