Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mikhail Podolyak believes that there should be legal grounds and a significant political crisis to update the topic of early elections. To date, there is neither the first nor the second, RBC-Ukraine quoted the official as saying.

According to him, talk of early parliamentary elections is "a purely political technique."

"For the president and for the whole team of power, only one thing is fundamental in talking about the activities of the parliament - its ability to pass reform bills. The parliament of this convocation is doing its job - not without problems, but generally effectively," Podolyak said.

Under the constitution, the president has the right to dissolve parliament, but not the obligation to do so. In the new parliament, "Servant of the People" will probably have to form a coalition with someone else or go into opposition.

"Isn't it better for Zelensky that the parliament, even with a problematic majority, works until the end of its cadence?", Podolyak reasonably remarks.

According to experts, the president's team is now inclined toward this very scenario. As long as the initiatives of Bankova are collected by 226 "for", it is not profitable for them to dissolve the Rada.
