Activities of the Ukraine-U.S. Strategic Partnership Commission will become regular

The parties agreed on the regularity of the work of the Commission of the Strategic Ukrainian-American Partnership. This became known during an online briefing from Dmytro Kuleba, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

"The Commission, whose meeting we held in Washington, DC, will not be a one-time measure. The Secretary of State and I have agreed to meet regularly in its format. The next meeting of the working groups of the Ukraine-U.S. Strategic Partnership Commission will take place already next year in Kiev," Kuleba said.

Dmytro Kuleba reminded that this week during the meeting of the Strategic Partnership Commission he signed a new charter of the strategic partnership between Ukraine and the United States of America with the U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken. It, according to the head of the Foreign Ministry, has a strategic long-term character and aims to develop the next ten years of Ukrainian-American partnership.

"The U.S. solidified support for Ukraine in countering Russian aggression, security cooperation, providing Ukraine with weapons that will strengthen our defense capabilities, the U.S. pledged to maintain sanctions against Russia until Ukraine's territorial integrity is restored, and reaffirmed support for Ukraine's course toward NATO membership. A new level of strategic partnership and a new charter from the U.S. are key to the systemic countering of Russian aggression," the minister said.
Given the intensification of Russian aggression, the Commission is very important now, Kuleba noted.

"The Kremlin must understand that Ukraine has strong allies, and the price of any military and hybrid adventures will be too high for Russia," the minister said.

There was also a meeting of the bilateral Strategic Partnership Commission for the first time in the last 3 years, in the framework of which the Charter of Strategic Ukrainian-American Partnership was signed. It enshrines support for Ukraine's NATO aspirations.
