 Farewell takes place in the capital's House of Officers. The self-proclaimed president of Belarus Oleksandr Lukashenko came to the coffin of the deceased, his press service reported, publishing a photo.

 

 The Belarusian state agency BelTA reported that the farewell ceremony was attended by members of Makei's family and employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Heads of various ministries and departments also arrived.

 

 State Secretary of the Union State Dmytro Mezentsev, CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas, special envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Hungary Peter Staraj, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Andriy Rudenko also came to the ceremony.

 

 Makei will be buried at the Eastern Cemetery of Minsk.
