The Russian-flagged freighter Zhibek Zholy, which carries stolen Ukrainian grain, departed the northwestern Turkish port of Karasu late Wednesday night, July 6.

The Russian Foreign Ministry denied reports that the vessel had been detained by Turkish authorities.

As a reminder, on July 4, it became known that a Russian vessel with stolen Ukrainian grain was detained in Turkey.

Later, interdepartmental consultations were launched to satisfy the request from the Prosecutor-General's Office that the vessel be arrested.

Additionally, Ukraine asked Turkey to help check three Russian-flagged ships that might be carrying stolen grain.
