Yerevan - Kyiv: President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon arrived in Armenia on an official visit to Armenia at the invitation of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan. This was reported in the presidential administration of Armenia.

It is reported that during the visit, the President of Tajikistan visited the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex, laid a wreath at the monument to the victims of the Mets Yeghern and paid tribute to the memory of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide.

In the presidential residence, then the official ceremony of the meeting of the President of Tajikistan took place, after which Presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Emomali Rahmon held a separate meeting.

"President Sargsyan stressed the importance of the documents prepared for signing during the visit of the President of Tajikistan, which, he said, will complement the agenda of bilateral relations, which is necessary, since the current level of cooperation does not correspond either to the friendship of the Armenian and Tajik peoples, nor to the level of bilateral interstate relations, Reported in the presidential administration of Armenia.

The President of Armenia stressed that Armenia is ready for active cooperation in any industry and said about the business forum and the meeting of the intergovernmental commission organized in Yerevan within the framework of the visit of President Rahmon.

Also, within the framework of the official visit of the President of Tajikistan to the presidential residence, negotiations began in an expanded format with the participation of delegations of the two countries.

On Saturday, June 10, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan visited the Armenian pavilion of the international exhibition of alternative energy EXPO-2017, which is held in the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana.
