Kyiv: The Ukrainian authorities should appeal to international experts so that they have access to crime sites of the annexed Crimea and the temporarily uncontrolled territories of Donetsk and Lugansk regions.

This was stated by the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Irina Gerashchenko at the parliament meeting.

“It seems to me that it will be very correct if we appeal to international experts demanding access to each crime scene. So that the international experts, and not investigators of the Russian Federation, carry out investigative actions, ”she explained.

The Vice Speaker noted that it is not only about the annexed Crimea by the Russian Federation, but also about the territory of Donbass uncontrolled by the Verkhovna Rada.

Gerashchenko explained that the Ukrainian authorities will initiate criminal proceedings for each murder in the occupied territories, “so that there will be a relevant registry and one can apply to international courts.”
