WARSAW (FNI) -  Subcommittee of the Ministry of Defense of Poland, which investigates the Smolensk disaster in 2010, during which President Lech Kaczynski died, said that the reason for the destruction of the left wing in presidential plane was an internal explosion.


According to the representative of the Sub-Commission, Marta Palonek, at the plenary meeting, after hearing all the evidence, several key points of the report were adopted. In particular, the members of the subcommittee agreed that the destruction of the left wing of the plane occurred because of an internal explosion. They also noted that the birch affected by the plane before the fall did not affect the primary breakdown of the wings.


Polish President Lech Kaczynski's plane crashed near Smolensk in 2010. Then 96 people died, including a large number of high-ranking Polish officials and a president with his wife.


According to the latest survey, 36.1% of Poland citizens believe that the catastrophe of the presidential plane in the forest near Smolensk - was not a coincidence.


At the annual press conference on December 14, Russian President Vladimir Putin called ‘bluff and nonsense’ accusations of the crash of the Tu-154M aircraft, which resulted in the death of Polish President Lech Kaczynski.


According to the latest data from the investigation, Polish investigators found signs of the explosion of a wing of the presidential plane, which fell in 2010 under the Russian Smolensk.
