San Juan: The Hurricane Maria, which reaches the 4th category on the Saffir-Simpson scale, hit Puerto Rico.

According to Weather, it became the strongest hurricane in Puerto Rico after the Great Depression and continues to hit the island and neighboring Virgin Islands with devastating winds, floods and storms.

The epicenter of the hurricane arrived on the shore near the town of Yabucoa, Puerto Rico, around 6:15 am local time. The wind speed reaches 155 miles per hour.

The National Meteorological Service issued "extreme wind warnings" for several eastern municipalities of Puerto Rico.

Hurricane "Maria" has already walked through Dominica. So, a strong wind brought down the roof of the residence of Prime Minister Dominique Roosevelt Skerrit. Subsequently, Skerrit added that he was fine.
