Seoul: South Korea convenes an emergency meeting of the Security Council in connection with the threat of North Korea on the eve of the launch of four missiles at US military bases.

"The National Security Council of South Korea will hold an emergency meeting on the missile threats of North Korea," the government told the state news agency Yonhap.

Earlier it was reported that North Korea plans to launch four missiles at US military bases.

On Wednesday, August 9, the DPRK declared its readiness to strike a missile strike on the American Guam. The statement came after US President Donald Trump promised to respond with "fire and fury" to North Korea's threats.
