  • US proposed to impose anti-Russian sanctions due to Navalnys case

Kyiv: American senators of Republican and Democratic Parties introduced the bill about imposing sanctions against Russian officials involving in poisoning of Russian oppositionist Alexey Navalny.

It was stated by Democratic senator, author of document Chris Coons via his Twitter page.

According to the document, administration of the White House must define whether Russia violated or not international agreements about prohibiting chemical and biological weapons. 

,,Putin’s government has a long and sordid history of using murder and attempted murder to silence Russian citizens at home and abroad who have called attention to the regime’s corrupt and abusive practices’’, he remarked.

Russian opposition leader Alexey Navalny felt bad in-flights from Tomsk to Moscow on August 20. On August 22, he was hospitalized in Berlin Charite clinic due to poisoning. According to independent European laboratories, Navalny was poisoned with Russian-made Novichok nerve agent.
