Vienna: Austria intends to allocate 1 million euros to Ukraine for humanitarian assistance, president of Austria Alexander Van der Bellen announced on Tuesday while holding joint briefing with Ukrainian colleague Volodymyr Zelensky in Vienna. 

It’s noted that distributed funds are planned to direct at support for internally displaced persons from occupied districts of Donetsk and Lugansk regions.

,,That’s why we provide Ukraine with relevant humanitarian aid, especially for internally displaced persons. I am glad to promise and assure Mr. Zelensky about assisting with 1 million euros for additional support for this region’’, Van der Bellen said.

The program of Zelensky’s visit includes talks with Federal President of the Republic of Austria Alexander Van der Bellen, Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurz and President of the National Council (Parliament) Wolfgang Sobotka.
