Kyiv: Japanese Prime Minister Sinzo Abe has resigned.

As he said at the press-conference, the decision was made because of poor health conditions.

“I have decided to resign, I want to apologize to the Japanese people,” Sindzo Abe said.

As he said, his health conditions started worsening in July, he needs to undergo medical treatment.

Sinzo Abe has refrained from naming the next prime minister.

Abe, 65, has held the position of prime minister of Japan since December 2012.
