Kyiv: German Chancellor Angela Merkel will not go to the G7 summit in Washington in late June due to a Coronavirus pandemic.
This was announced by a representative of the Government of Germany, Steffen Seiber.
“The Federal Chancellor thanks President Trump for inviting her to the G7 summit in late June in Washington. However, she cannot agree to a trip to Washington, given the situation with the Coronavirus pandemic,” he stressed.
US Presidential Advisor on National Security Robert O'Brien said that the G7 summit could be held in late June. Earlier, Donald Trump announced that he intends to hold a G7 summit at his suburban residence in Camp David.
