Kyiv: President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the EU for the decision to allocate another tranche of 500 million Euros to Ukraine.
He wrote about this on his official Twitter page.
In turn, Volodymyr Zelensky noted that such support is “timely” to maintain the stability of the Ukrainian economy against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I am grateful to the EU and Ursula von der Leyen for the decision to provide Ukraine with the 2nd tranche of the 4th macro-financial assistance program in the amount of 500 million Euros, which was discussed last week” he stated.
This is the largest macro-financial assistance that the EU has ever provided to a partner country.
Earlier it was reported that the European Union agreed to provide 500 million euros of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine.
