Kiev: The episode "Absolutely Crazy Dad" of the animated series "The Simpsons" featuring Michael Jackson was removed from the streaming service Disney +, probably due to his accusations of pedophilia.
It is reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
Disney representatives did not comment on the removal of the episode from the service. It is not yet known at whose request the series was removed.
The episode "Absolutely Crazy Dad" was released in 1991. In it, the main character Homer Simpson briefly ends up in a psychiatric hospital, where he meets a huge, bald man named Leon Kompowski, who claims to be Michael Jackson. This character was voiced by Jackson himself.
In March 2019, the episode Absolutely Crazy Dad was taken off television due to Jackson’s allegations of pedophilia following the release of the documentary Leaving Neverland.
Disney + streaming service was launched on November 12.
Earlier, relatives of Michael Jackson filed a lawsuit against HBO for her decision to show the documentary “Leaving Neverland”, which refers to the pedophilia charge against the performer. It is based on the stories of two men who claim to have been sexually abused by Jackson for years. Now cases of sexual violence by the late star have already been reported by 11 people who were 7 to 14 years old at the time of the probable incidents.
