Kiev: In Poland, a court sentenced a fine of 1,000 zlotys
(6.4 thousand UAH \ $ 259) to an attacker who tore the tablet from the
consulate of Ukraine.
It is reported by Radio Poland.
The incident occurred in early April 2019 in the center of
Opole. In the morning, passers-by noticed on the sidewalk near the building
where the Ukrainian Consulate offices are located, a destroyed sign with the
coat of arms of Ukraine.
The police quickly established the identity that damaged
her. 29-year-old Tomash A. admitted that he destroyed the sign with the emblem
of Ukraine, but insists that he has no negative feelings for Ukraine and
Ukrainians. He says that he was just drunk, and it was a "hooligan
trick".
The prosecutor suggested that the court impose a fine of
1,000 zlotys and oblige them to cover the costs of repairing the sign and pay
for court services. The court ruled in favor of the prosecutor's office.
