Kiev: In the US state of Indiana, a dead woman was found with a 2.5-meter net python around her neck. 140 snakes were found in the house.
This was reported by Indiana State Police, reports CNN.
When 36-year-old Laura Harst was found unconscious, doctors tried to save her, but the attempts were unsuccessful.
Among the 140 snakes that were found indoors, approximately 20 snakes belonged to a woman.
According to property information, the house is owned by Sheriff of Benton County Donald Manson. Police found that Harst called in there "about twice a week".
The Indiana State Police said that no one lived in the house and it was repaired specifically for collecting snakes.
Sheriff Munson told Lafayette Journal & Courier that Harst’s death was “a tragic accident” and that he “fully collaborates with everyone”.
