Kiev: The Central Election Commission has scheduled the first local elections for December 22, 2019 - voting will take place in 86 united territorial communities.

This was reported in the press service of the CEC.

At a meeting on October 11, members of the commission considered the appeal of 21 regional state administrations on the calling of local elections in connection with the formation of united territorial communities.

The CEC recognized these appeals as complying with the requirements of the Constitution. So, on December 22, the first elections will be held in 86 united territorial communities (1 city, 16 village, 69 rural).

In particular, in the Vinnitsa region such elections will be held in 3 united territorial communities, in the Volyn region - in 2, in the Dnipropetrovsk region - in 5, in the Donetsk region - in 1, in the Zhytomyr region - in 1, in the Transcarpathian region - in 9, in the Zaporozhye region - in 8 , in the Ivano-Frankivsk region - in 6, in the Kiev region - in 2, in the Kirovograd region - in 6, in the Lugansk region - in 1, in the Nikolaev region - in 2, in Odessa region - in 5 , in Poltava region - in 6, in Rivne region - in 9, in Ternopol th region - 4 in Kharkov region - 4, in Kherson - 2 in Khmelnytsk area - 4 in Chernovitsky area - to 1, in Chernihiv region - 5.

“In general, according to preliminary estimates, more than 380 thousand people will be able to take part in these elections,” the report said.

Also, the CEC recalled that over the past 4 years in Ukraine, the first local elections were held in 896.

Recall that in June 2019, elections were held in 66.

Earlier, the government reported that 69% of Ukrainians live in the united territorial communities.
