Kiev: Ukrainian billionaire Viktor Pinchuk buys apartments for 5 political prisoners released from Russian prisons: Alexander Kolchenko, Oleg Sentsov, Vladimir Balukh, Alexei Sizonovich and Arthur Panov.

This hromadske reported Alexander Kolchenko. The Victor Pinchuk Foundation confirmed this information, noting that the purchase of apartments is on the initiative of President Vladimir Zelensky.

“This is a continuation of our work on the initiative of President Vladimir Zelensky, in the framework of which we have already bought apartments for 24 sailors released from captivity", - said Natalya Vovk, director of communications of the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, “the Fund will purchase ready-made apartment for repair in Kiev, in houses not older than 2004, where they can immediately move in with their families. Apartments will be selected from several proposed options in the districts of Kiev, which were indicated by them as priority".

Oleg Sentsov, Alexander Kolchenko and Volodimr Balukh were arrested in the occupied Crimea, they cannot return home and they have no other housing. In the same situation, Alexey Sizonovich and Arthur Panov, who are from uncontrolled areas of the Lugansk region.

Recall, on September 7, a large exchange of prisoners took place, 35 Ukrainians returned from Russian captivity. Among them are 24 sailors whom the Russian Federation captured in the Kerch Strait, director Oleg Sentsov, Alexander Kolchenko, Vladimir Balukh, Pavel Grib and others, whose names sounded at almost all international meetings for almost all the meetings as the names of political prisoners.

However, despite the large-scale exchange, according to the Ukrainian Ombudsman Lyudmila Denisova, at least 115 Ukrainians remain in jail in Russia and in the territories occupied by her. In particular, Crimean activist Aleksey Chirny, convicted in the case of the so-called “Ukrainian saboteurs,” Andrei Zakhtiv, accused of espionage, Valentin Vygovsky. Also, the Russian authorities do not stop the persecution of the Crimean Tatars, another 227 Ukrainians are being detained in the uncontrolled territories of Donbass.
