Kiev: An explosion thundered on a tanker belonging to the Iranian national oil company in the Red Sea.
It is reported by Mirror with reference to the Iranian media.
"An Iranian oil tanker in the Red Sea suffered from an explosion as a result of a possible terrorist attack," the report said.
The explosion caused an oil spill and a fire aboard a ship owned by the National Iranian Oil Company.
The ship was transporting one million barrels of oil to Syria - through the Suez Canal and the Mediterranean Sea.
It is noted that the crew of the tanker managed to stabilize the ship.
Iranian media have claimed that the explosion could have been a “terrorist act,” but reports have not yet provided any evidence to support this.
