Kiev: The new law on the special status of Donbass will not be developed before the meeting in the “Norman format” takes place.
This was stated by the head of the Verkhovna Rada Dmitry Razumkov on the air of the program “Freedom of Speech.”
According to him, the Verkhovna Rada will be one of the main platforms for the development of a new law.
“But the initiative will come from the Office of the President. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will join it, and most importantly, the public will join this process. This will be an open process, which will make it possible to keep as few questions as possible for the future law”, - Razumkov noted, without specifying how the public is planning to engage.
Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Affair’s Minister Vadim Prystaiko said that the meeting of the leaders of the “Norman Four” was postponed because of Russia.
The "Norman Four" includes four countries: Ukraine, Germany, France and Russia. The meetings are designed to resolve the armed conflict in the Donbass.
