Kiev: The National Bank of Ukraine bought $ 42.50 millions on the interbank foreign exchange market during the week of September 30 - October 4 and sold $ 200 millions. This is evidenced by the data on the regulator’s website on Saturday, Oct 5.
It is noted that before this, the regulator did not intervene for eight weeks to maintain the hryvnia exchange rate.
Since the beginning of the year, the NBU bought at the interbank currency for $ 4,199.10 millions and sold for $ 448.23 millions.
Thus, since the beginning of the year, the Bank's net purchase of foreign currency amounted to $ 3,750.88 millions.
